The subconscious can heal the body, just as easily as the conscious mind can. The subconscious mind is where much of our personality, beliefs and fears reside. Just as it is here that we store those things that are not pleasing to our conscious minds, it is also here where we store those memories that we want to forget, not quite consciously. Some people refer to this as the "conscience."
This is also where the "subconscious" or "hypnotic" state of mind takes place. In this state the subconscious is where we experience many of life's unpleasant experiences. Those experiences then become locked into our psyche and are not able to be removed. However, by reaching a relaxed state of mind such as hypnosis or meditation we are able to access these memories and remove them from our subconscious.
Just as healing the body can be done through the use of medications, by utilizing the power of the mind we can heal the body and mind. By reaching the subconscious, the bad emotions and memories are released. Through hypnosis we can access those aspects of our life that are plaguing us and allow them to become less true. Many of our societal expectations are formed from our childhood. If we can learn to release the things that are no longer serving us we will then have more peace and harmony in our lives.
This brings us to the topic of negativity. Just as the subconscious can heal the body through hypnosis and/or meditation, it is very easy for our minds to become involved in our negative experiences. The mind believes what we feed it. If we dwell on negative situations and think about bad things, our bodies will be forced to respond. We may experience pain as a result, but if we learn how to release this negative energy through meditation and hypnosis we can heal the body.

While the mind and body work together to keep us living, many problems arise from within. The brain is primarily responsible for this type of healing. A therapist can take the conscious mind out of the equation and allow the patient to come into the session with their heart and soul. The therapist will then allow the patient to visualize positive emotions. These will help the patient to release feelings of anger or negativity. This type of healing is commonly referred to as "Effacing the Fear Factor".
Because the subconscious is connected to the emotions of the conscious mind, when these emotions become strong they can affect the entire body. Negative thoughts can produce pain, and if these emotions are stored, the body will react to them. Releasing these emotions and learning to accept the body as it is can create healing in a number of areas. Hypnosis and meditation are commonly used to treat this type of condition.

In addition to releasing old emotional patterns, the subconscious can heal the body when the conscious mind tries to enforce new ones. If a person is repeatedly told that they need to consume a certain food or drink, the mind will continue to feed these messages until the desire is very strong. This process is commonly referred to as "Food Chain Hypnosis", and anyone can learn how to use this technique successfully.
The subconscious mind is an integral part of the human experience. Many of our most important decisions and events in life have happened unconsciously. It is possible to learn how to use this aspect of the mind to enhance the physical body. Hypnotherapy and meditation can effectively be used to enhance the mind and body.
